As a user I want to be able to have access to a Media Manager where I can upload and store my images and other medias so that I can use them in Image and animation module and don't have to bring my own storage.

Points:

  • Media Manager should be accessed separately and is an independent section

  • Only these types of files can be uploaded; jpg, png, pdf, riv

  • Features:

    • create folder

    • show upload progress

    • file related icons

    • delete

    • rename

    • overwrite

    • copy the URL (to be used in other modules)

    • list of files

    • navigating in and out of folders

    • select multiple files

    • select all files in a folder

    • move/delete/copy a file or selected files

    • show file info

Out of scope

The following items are out of the scope of this work item:

  • drag and drop from Media Manager

  • use Media Manager in places where is can actually be used like Paint or Animation module

  • File thumbnail

    Great news!
    Some observations :

    The list of icon is a great idea, but I think it should be a separated section inside the media manager. It would be great to be able to upload .svg aswell instead of bitmap. The .pdf isn’t standard.

    It would also be cool to have states for the same icon (active, inactive, over etc…) and to be able to change it on the fly while being in the editor.
