Using the Editor: Your App Creation Space

Once you’re onboarded and have created a new app in PAP, you’ll arrive in the Editor—your main creation space where your app takes shape. This environment is designed for clarity and ease, giving you full control over structure, content, and interactivity.

What You See

  • Top Navigation Bar:
This includes the “Page Management” button (for managing your app’s pages) and the “Add Items” button (to access modules you can drag into your app) and AI chat on the left.
Screen sizes, app pages drop down menu, “Preview” and “Save” buttons on the right.

  • Canvas (Content Area):
The canvas is where your app layout is visualised. Every module you add appears here and can be selected, moved, or styled.

  • Left Properties Pane:
Selecting any module or section will open this panel, which provides all the adjustable settings for that item—from layout and size to actions and animation.

Key Tools and Areas

  • Add Items:
This panel lists all modules, grouped by type. Use it to add new buttons, text, images, lists, forms, or more advanced items like maps or animations. Just drag a module from the panel into the canvas.

  • Page Management:
View, create, reorder, and organise your app’s pages. Set page relationships (parent/child), edit names, and delete or duplicate as needed.

  • Modules on Canvas:
Each module—whether it’s a section, button, video, or form—can be added, styled, and configured directly in the canvas. Clicking on any module opens its unique properties for editing.

  • Customisation:
All modules come with a set of general and specific properties. These include layout settings, background, borders, actions, and more—all managed from the left-hand pane once a module is selected.

  • Preview and Save:
Changes you make in the editor update your app in real time. You can preview your app to test interactions and layout as you build.
